Low Range Manganese Testing for Drinking Water, Wastewater and Industrial Applications
The Manganese Reagent Set, LR, PAN, 10 mL (2651700) provides accurate, low-range measurement of manganese (Mn) in water using the proven PAN colorimetric method.
Designed for use with Hach lab and portable spectrophotometers, this method delivers rapid, sensitive manganese analysis across the range of 0.006 - 0.700 mg/L Mn.
The method uses 1-(2-Pyridylazo)-2-Naphthol (PAN) chemistry to reduce manganese to Mn²⁺, mask interfering metals, and form a distinct, orange-colored complex that is measured photometrically at 560 nm. The result is reliable manganese testing for both laboratory and field water analysis applications.
